The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~away with the fairies~

well, no not really...although i do know the pixies borrowed Calvs Stonewylde t-shirt, only to return it a few days later!

actually we drove our home on wheels that is Pretty Pagan up to the Malverns (ahem...i wont mention the 'detour' we took when swampy ignored lola his sat nav and took us across country only to double back again to find the right road!)

it was the weekend for the british volkswagen festival and swampy helps with the custom show and shine on the sunday.

it was the perfect time to test out our newly built wardrobe and finished cupboards and i like to report they all worked a treat and it was great to not have to rummage around in bags and have them on the floor.now everything has a place and there is no more packing things away if we decided to leave our camp for sight seeing.

this is her prettiness with the huge back doors open and the seating converted to our huge bed-we always think because she is so long and narrow she is a little like a narrow boat on wheels.
the south american textile is actually a baby sling. we are going to buy another, sew them together to make one huge throw.

our pillows are usually kept in the cab area with our duvet during the day but we lent our cushions to sujee and bilbo (owners of that gorgeous bell tent!) and they still have them so we had to use pillows as cushions.
well now, luck was on my side on the cushion front for there was a stall at the festival selling the most beautiful cushions in all kinds of patterns and colours but as it will take at least four cushions each side to furnish PP i bought one to be starting off with...

don't you love it?!
i bought Step-Daughter O'Mine a mexican day of the dead one...this is SD O'Mine, loulou...

...who came for the day on saturday, bringing her nephew ryan, who spent the day keeping grandpa swampy very busy indeed...

poor old grandpa swampy collapsed on the bed around 9pm and promptly fell fast asleep while i was reading and i ended up having to wake him up to get into bed!

we also bought some flower garlands from flowers-up to decorate the inside of PP...

because the interior is wood and the linings on the wall are brown we need to introduce a load of colour and these flowers and the cushions is the start of it.

we also bought a new wind sock for our flag pole which we set up when we camp. we fly two streamer flags and now have a dragon to fly at the very top~however we now need a longer flag pole!

now usually i have problems with big gatherings of people relating to my m.e and fibro, which i wont bore you with, but this festival was on a smaller scale than the massive vanfest we have been helping out at for the last ten years and i was able to look around the stalls without having to fight crowds.
i was also very daring in the evening and walked down to catch up with our lovely friends albert and mary...in their seventies and still camping!

Just gorgeous!
It looks so cosy in your little home on wheels and lovely to curl up at night, when it's raining on the roof.
Isn't your SD pretty! Little Ryan is a doll, I am sooo looking forward to being a Granma.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
