The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~change for the turning~

i hope you like my little blog jiggery-pokery today

as the dark half of the year is on my doorstep i thought a little change was in order.

this morning when i woke the sun was shining in the clear blue sky and looking out of the kitchen window i could have sworn there may have been a slight frost earlier this morning-now the clouds are drifting across the sky, maybe with the promise of a shower or two later in the day.

i am sitting wrapped up in my green shawl/throw feeling a tad delicate today~the adrenaline that kept me going while away has ebbed away leaving me with a fibro/m.e 'flare up' where my symptoms are much worse than usual. so after posting this i shall spend a day just 'being'.

two days ago i booked two tickets for the dolmen 'free spirits' festival at the end of this month and am really excited about it~i have been a member of the dolmen grove since early 2008 and for many reasons missed out on previous camps~next year i have put in my diary their wessex gathering

later...i went for a short walk with swampy and flynt to get a bit of fresh air, we went up to setley pond near a collection of bronze age barrows and i found the most amazing piece of flint...if you are on facebook, come find me and you will see the pictures...if not i am afraid you will have to wait until tomorrow!

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
