i was up early this morning
at 5.30 the sky was dark and the stars shining down as the fire was started and flame put to the charcoal in my small cast iron cauldron...
the 'yuletide' incense sent to me by my friend Tilli is gorgeous...
i released my little bundle...
and a waning crescent sat in the sky...

Beautiful Ceremony...I have spent time this year reading more about the Solstice celebrations...they really are beautiful and more in touch with Nature...I am tired of all the buy buy buy that pounds on us... Thanks for sharing this...:)
Happy Solstice...:)
Beautiful! Happy Solstice! *hugs*
Yule blessings
Blessings to you & yours, if belatedly :)
At 5:14 precisely, we toasted the setting sun with mulled wine and looked at the lead coloured sky and pouring rain and soaked earth, thankful for such warmth but regretfully too as we had a bonfire prepared but it was too wet and somewhat scattered after the storm ' Joachim ' on Friday. But it was s good feeling !
Happy Solstice XX
