The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~too much~

i meant to post shortly after my last one but too much suddenly started to happen, its a long old story i wont go into

~to be honest i am lacking in spirit right now~

anyway my sister flew off to America last wednesday to get married...today in fact!

because her dog Billy (i rescued him many years ago and he lived with my mum and sister when i moved into a flat and could not take him with me) was so old i was popping into mums everyday to keep an extra eye on him.
well the thing we did not want to happen happened and i had to have poor little Billy put to sleep on friday.

why now, when my sister is so far away?

she is heart broken, totally devastated and i can only offer comfort via the telephone and texts~its all just dreadful.

to add to the pot it will be two years ago tomorrow that swampy and i had to send our beloved Cody over the Rainbow Bridge.

the only good thing is our little Flynt is two years old today! we are taking his to the vets to choose himself a nice new collar and we are eagerly awaiting his special stagbar-antler chew to come through the post!
i was going to make him a special birthday tuna cake but feeling a tad fragile today so he will have to do with a little nibble of cheese instead.

~*~*~*~

i think all the stress and strain of the past week has caught up with me as i spent most of yesterday in bed and i am not feeling much better today...however i do have something in my head but that will be a whole different post!

How sad that BIlly had to cross the Rainbow Bridge while your sister was away. A sad anniversary for Cody too but to end on a cheerful note - Happy Birthday Flynt!
Hope you feel better and more positive soon.

Sorry to read about Billy but at least you could be with him and could offer him comfort for his last journey. It is always so sad but we must always tell ourselfs that we are so lucky to be able to help them like this in the end!

Happy birthday to little grown up Flynt!!

Losing a beloved pet is heart breaking and it must be so hard for your sister. Sending you all some sympathetic hugs.... *hugs*

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
