hello to day four (four? already?!)
of my blogalong with jani's
and its
water
i am so excited as water really is me...that's why i put it up in huge letters
of course by now you know i am an Aquarian (by the way i really am the Aquarian you read about in all those pages you find on the characters of Aquarians...in fact i could have written the book on being an Aquarian...honest.
anyway so fixed air sign but the water bearer is not all about water as we might think (depending on our source) but of duality and the cleansing power of water. i would delve into this deeper but we are off camping today and i really need to be getting dressed and finishing my packing but hey...this is important to me!
water...
although i do drink other things, water is always my first love~i always think how clean it is, how it really does symbolise a cleansing force in every way, for all of us animal species and pachamama too.
however for me showering and bathing is not an enjoyable experience...rest assured i do bathe/shower, i don't go around my daily life in a little cloud of grubby miasma like
it is linked with my m.e/fibro that what should be a nice relaxing bath as suggested many times by swampy to help ease the pain only makes me feel incredibly unwell and so i always shower, which seems to take forever as i live in constant fear of having a dizzy spell or one of my regular stumbles and brain myself on the sink as i fall out of the bath.
so my alternative ritual for bringing water into my daily life involves my sacred garden
i have a small pond with a waterfall which sits under my rowan which i adore. okay so it is a manmade structure but it is all aging nicely...i do love a nice bit of lichen! and the grass has grown right up to the edges so it now looks like some natural pool you would find in a forest glade.
then a few weeks ago when i started to work with the elements and creating areas for each i wanted some natural bowl to place in the west...well a trip down the tip (sorry...ahem...'recycling centre') with some green to be composted i found a large grey carved marble bowl...oh how perfect was that? i needed something and it was put in my path (this has happened quite a few times down the tip which is quite spooky...in a good way)
it now sits in the west where i refresh it with clean water every few days, while the old waters my garden.
now i really must get going and finish my packing as we have to be at the cattery at 10am...my heart is breaking at having to leave my kittens even for 6 days...i secretly kept hoping i would go down with a cold in order to stay home with them.
if i can get on wifi i will be writing day 5 tomorrow...if not i shall blog it when i am home but will try to post pictures from my playbook on the facebook group!
