The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~moongazy ahoy!~

its a breezy day here in the forest, i am hoping the breeze will push the clouds away.
i was out at 6.30 hanging out the washing in glorious sunshine, half an hour later it grew dark...please don't rain i thought.
well no rain so far!

things have been a bit busy here and i have been having trouble trying to fit everything into my day, especially blogging!

we have our annual stonewylde moongazy camp
starting next week and so its now starting to be a flurry of packing and organising.

swampy has made the ferrets a new travelling 'gin palace'' which fits between the two long bench seats (which coverts to a very large bed) in pretty pagan. we have decided to dispense with having the bench seats and will now keep the bed down the whole time.
this is good in all kinds of ways, its there for when i need to crash,  it gives us space on the bed for our instruments while we are travelling, mostly it means that when we have arrived at site all we do is pull the 'gin palace' out of the camper and into the awning...simple!
the germ of the idea for this began last moongazy camp~we arrived at the site and it promptly started to rain and didn't stop for several hours, this meant the awning couldn't be put up and the large dog cage that was their 'gin palace' had to remain on the bed, among the instruments and flynt who was bouncing around. it was a camping nightmare. now if it happens to be raining when we get to our destination the ferrets are tucked out of the way.
so i am happy, i do like to be organised when camping!

i am so looking forwards to the week with my friends~we live scattered all over the country and so meeting in person is difficult. so the moongazy camp is just spectacular (any of you who have read and loved the stonewylde books please come find us on facebook and maybe even join us at camp!)
this year we have planned a drumming circle, craft market and on the Saturday we have the travelling talesman joining us. we have seen him perform before at our friends handfasting for his is their friend and performs in Bilbo's band. he is amazing and funny so we are all looking forwards to it. and of course we will have our big camp fire each night with music and singing.

...*sigh* it is going to be amazing!

well i can hear movement from the other end of this hobbit hole which means its ferret playtime and breakfast making... my mind has completely drifted from how i intended this post to be but i might have better luck next time!

I'm sure you'll have a fab time :) Always look forward to your pics when you get back home, will have to have a look at the Talesman, someone else mentioned him not long ago.....

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
