The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

wednesday 27th june... compost & organic bread

Merry Meet )o(
another day of weird weather, to rain or not to rain.
Bought a large bag of organic compost to mix with my own brand ready to plant out my two butternut squash and the indian mint I splashed out on. Also bought pumpkin seeds...I have a bet on that the bit of land my mum has let me take over as an allotment will have pumpkins growing on it by samhain. I had better get my behind in gear and at least dig a patch big enough for a few pumpkins!
We are still waiting on the delivery of our second compost bin (recycled plastic of course!) and also a kitchen caddy. Which will be handy as we can take it with us camping...we even take our recycling box away camping with us...its amazing how many empties of Swampy's we take back home!
We have also decided to stop buying shop bought bread-at last...most of it tastes like rubber when compared to Swampy's homemade organic!

A question...why do shops sell nice organic veg but wrap it in plastic?
I think its time to visit our local organic farm shop...

Top tip for the day as suggested by a member of INEBG forum...coconut oil as a cheaper more environmentally sound hair serum. It works a treat!

Not much here today as Im tired and need a peppermint tea...oh and I did buy my sandals...heavy duty DM ones!

Damn hippies!

Stop creating work for us Eco Warriors who have to collect your recyling ;)

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
