The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee

Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells

i have been thinking about accents/dialects~probably because we are heading off to vanfest and a lot of them are from Birmingham/Black Country,and this results in swampy's brummie accent becoming more pronounced.
i always considered myself to be 'accentless', as are my sister and dad.
my mum and nan on the other hand have really strong portsmouth accents, almost cockney. someone recently asked me, on hearing i was born in portsmouth, why i didnt have 'the accent'? then in another conversation about accents i asked a friend how he would classify my accent and he said dorset; now this surprised me and my 'no accent' outlook! but thinking about it, i do come out with some strange sayings;i use the word 'they' instead of that and 'be' instead of 'are'~as in 'what be they then' and if i listen properly to what i'm saying i have noticed that words with 'o' in them, like 'round' and 'down' actually come out with the 'o' being replaced with 'e' and my 'r's are long and rolling, in an oh-ar kind of way!... ha! and i just thanked swampy for the cup of tea with 'thank ee'~i think that say's it all!

I don't think I have an accent! haha!!! I cannot wait to hear the Cornish accent when I come over.

hi miss*r~my neighbour is 74 and you should hear his accent! i sometimes have trouble understanding him his accent is so strong!

I think when I get to the UK in 2009, I will spend most of my time crying in joy.. just seeing and listening to a place that seems to touch my inner soul.

miss*r i know you will love it here.there are some beautiful cities~beautiful because of the old buildings, and very beautiful towns and villages but nothing beats the west country (although the lake district comes close!)
you may not want to leave here ;)
