The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

friday 3rd august...

merry meet )O(
i'm so very tired today, cody woke me up by jumping on the bed and licking my nose (yes we do let him on the bed, he is one of the family after all!) so i didnt have time to wake up properly. even two mugs of lemon tea has not revived me. also i forgot to take my last antibiotic of the day last night and now my ear is painful again. by the end of yesterday i had started to get back a bit of my hearing but this morning it seems to have gone back to square one.
its a lovely day here in dorset with a constant rumble of tractors and trailers going up and down the lane...swampy said that they were harvesting until gone midnight a couple of nights ago, looking up at the fields from our part of the valley we can see where the fields have been harvested.
yesterday i ended up having a knitting day; i have one project on the go at the moment, a merino wool chunky scarf for my sister and two projects just waiting for the right wool...Rowan felted tweed which in these parts i can only get at a craft shop over the hill. i was looking on the rowan web site yesterday and have seen two books with patterns for really amazing stuff, both knitted and felted. so i really feel the need to kick my knitting progress up a gear...

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
