The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

wednesday 1st august...too many coffee shops not enough folk music

merry meet )o(
remembered my antibiotics and codeine this morning so ventured into dorchester for our weekly shop but run out of power fast. swampy also took off for his physio appointment with my bank card so I had to sit in Pippin and read a bit of 'craft of the wild witch' and eat some oatcakes until he came back...stopped me buying anything I shouldn't have! have noticed the growing trend for the need for multiple coffee shops, in dorchester main high street alone there are four, one being a huge new starbucks.
in my ideal high street there would be several health food stores and farmers markets, bookshops, wool shops where i could buy rowan felted tweed easily, music shops with a huge folk section and a good old fashioned handy man store for swampy. oh and somewhere to buy clothes as 99.9% of clothes shops in dorchester do not cater for what swampy calls my eclectic dress sense!imagine if you will waistcoats over dresses over jeans worn with heavy duty DM's sandals and accessorised with scarves and a blue corduroy bucket hat and thats me...oh and dont forget the piercings and tattoo's! one day i might consider putting up a picture of me, there again maybe not!
i did buy 'grow your own' magazine which has made me rethink my crops, so I will be out sowing again, if not today then tomorrow.
another lovely day here in dorset and swampy is out the front mowing the lawn...nice cuttings for compost bin number 2! and about to launch an attack on the weeds growing around some of my lavender plants...cody is itching to get out there just to run around and water everything in site!
we are waiting to hear from a place in the netherlands about the postage of the wheel bearing we need for pippin...we need it quite badly now and if we dont get it fixed, it means our planned trips would not be possible...i should say 'trip' actually because the 2cv national, citroen car club camp and vanfest are dated so that they would roll into one big camping jolly for us of over two weeks which for me would be total bliss.
I have had a nagging migraine type headache since last night (yes folks on top of M.E, diabetes and the present ear infection i get migraines!)that i had hoped the codeine would deal with, no such luck and i dont think i can take anything else on top of the codeine without a mini overdose.poop
