The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

merry meet

we had a family day here in dorset today (so apologies for e-mails not being answered!) my mum, sam and her boyfriend andrew came to celebrate swampys birthday...sam complete with home made chocolate cake which is so good. she also directed to me to a website to give me an idea of a christmas present...i must admit they appeal to me too!

earlier i had to go over to a nearby village for my first ever flu jab...did it sting? yes it did! and i was the youngest person there which felt a bit strange...i felt guilty as if i had not been looking after myself properly, isn't that odd?

my family left a short while ago, so while swampy was watching football (i hate football...cannot even stand to hear it...so i am listening to the dolmen)i decided to embark on a project i first thought of a few days ago.

my M.E has been particularly bad this last week, reaching its ultimate yesterday where i made it to about 2pm, then spent the rest of the day either on the bed or in bed...the pain in my muscles and joints was unbearable.
so today, feeling considerably better, i decided to follow through with the new project...warm fires and wool blankets...and a blog was born...i didn't want to keep posting here about my illness or diabetes so decided to blog it elsewhere, and hopefully provide a place for others to share and vent about their own health problems.

the skies here in dorset, well down in our valley, are clearing for the first time in several day and right now the sun is trying to break through the clouds.

our resident hedgepig, that lives in our 350 year old lean-to has been very busy, leaving not only small hedgehog poop's in our back yard, but also the back end of a poor frog~he obviously could not manage a whole one. however he is keeping the slug population down which my aloe vera is very happy about.

well, as swampy is otherwise engaged and cody asleep i will be taking the opportunity to burn some incense and meditate on my tree oracle.

bright blessings to you all

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
