Greenpeace are sailing to bring attention to and disrupt the japanese fleet who have set sail to murder lage numbers of humpback whales, despite their classified status as being vulnerable.
These bautiful creatures have the most amazing and complex songs that can last for hours, a good cd to get for mediatation is 'Songs from the Humpback Whale'. I bought this about twenty years ago and found it great for meditation and general relaxation. it really does transport you beyond the mundane and the thought that these amazing beings are being hunted and killed so horrifically just makes my blood boil.
is there any hope for our planet when those classified as vulnerable can be hunted?

....and as a student I bought that famous poster of the whales tail and the caption...'He roams the sea in freedom with no enemy but man'.
God(dess) speed to greenpeace, with all my heart I hope the campaign works.

Robyn has written about this too and I've already commented on her blog about how sickening I find it and how helpless I feel. I wish Greenpeace well in their efforts to disrupt this appalling slaughter - as for claiming that it is being done for scientific research - I wonder who they think they are fooling with lies like that?
I have just logged in after two days away and signed the protest ia Robyns.
I am also going to print it off and post it up to my dad to sign and sent. he has been a long time member of the whale and dolphin conservation society and has his paintings of whales exhibited at galleries.
I could cry.. the japanese whalers are just ignoring the whale sanctuary.. murderers the whole lot of them.
I send all my energy and love with Greenpeace... hmmmm maybe we could call in the merfolk to help?
ps - there are many more petitions to sign online... just do a search for save the whales :)
good for you Dad !!!!!
