The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

swampy and i have spent some of today getting the garden tidy, and he helped our elderly neighbours with their fairy lights..until it became too cold to stay out.

i have been busy with my studies, reading and taking notes, as i have an assignment on the French Revolution to be in by the 4th january...i thought the only way i can enjoy the coming two weeks will be to get the majority of it done. so i spent all day yesterday on it and about half of it today. that is how i will spend most of the coming week.

but right now i am sitting by the fire and have just had a buzzard drift by the window in the last light of the day. we have gone from a glorious blue sky to a pale grey and a sudden wind and it is still very cold.

i am planning on trying to stay up for a film tonight Pan's Labyrinth i have been waiting a whole week to see it having got my days mixed up...twice!

lord, it sounds really cold from your description... stay warm! Summer hasn't poked her head out here yet - our temps are still autumn type temps.. around 5 deg.C... last night there was a mist that was like pea soup.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
