The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~views from a village stores~

dia dhuit
we had a very chilly walk up to our little shop this morning~i really needed some air and half an hour away from my essay writing.
what a lovely morning it is here today, all the way up to the shop not one car had passed us, so all we could hear was bird song and cows in the distance.

these are the views from our village farm shop/garden centre~the first one is the view we have up the lane behind our cottage, the big ridge is part of the route that leads to the Dorset Gap.

the second is taken slightly left of the first one, looking towards the very bottom of our little valley, we are tucked down a short distance from the other big ridgeway.

however we have come home really cold so swampy is out chopping some logs and building up the rayburn while i sit in a sunny spot and warm up.

i am hoping the weather continues to be good as we are having a few days up in the Derbyshire Dales next weekend. swampy has a camping club meeting on the saturday so it means cody and i will have a day to ourselves.
unfortunately, given the time of year and being the only camp site open in the area i will be stranded in the middle of nowhere for the day!
i really hope there are spectacular views!
what better way to spend a day getting in touch with myself!

oh Dorset sounds beautiful and even if you have moved when I come to visit.. i am definately putting it on my TO VISIT list.... I must start jotting down all the places I want to go so that I can get some kind of plan..

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
