The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~oh joy~

my wandering soul is about to be cured again with an unexpected trip to golden cap, which is about an hour and a half drive from us (thats at pippin speed~approx 50mph, although our speedo is in km~it gets confusing!)

our friends have arranged an 8 day summer camp but we had a call from her last week telling us she had broken her leg and she had asked a couple to run the camp for her.

we had been planning to go for a few days but on hearing this couple were going decided to stay away~they are the couple we have been having trouble with (great long story here but they are the kind of people who like to stir things up by telling lies about other people and situations in order to benefit themselves).

as it turns out they have said now they will not go and help so we have stepped in and are helping out for the majority of the camp.

even better our friend has decided that she would rather be camping with a broken leg and be surrounded by friends than sitting at home depressed~so her husband will be packing the camper and parrot (who always goes camping!) and heading down here next weekend!
the joy is also being 150m from a beach which is on the jurassic coast, which is englands first natural world heritage site so i am hoping a gentle walk will have me finding some fossils.
i have quite a few i have picked up over the years, a whole clam, tiny ammonites and one of the most lovely being an anemone, which i just picked up on a beach and didn't know what it was until much later.

Your fossils are beautiful, I hope you have a good week and find more for your collection.
Love the hot air balloon photos, we get quite a lot around here and I love to see them - don't know whether I'd be brave enough to go up in one though.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
