The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~why?~

sue over at creative spirit put this on her blog and i put it here now to pass on.
it was so hard to watch, its heart breaking, soul destroying and made me want to run out screaming and shouting for people to see what is happening to our land~the destruction that is going on around us that~but i had too and i think people need to see it to make them aware, if they dont already know or even care.
unfortunately there are people out there who dont care.
maybe we can pass this across the globe?

You're right....very difficult to watch but it's happening everywhere. We must do something to change our attitudes about the earth....it is a living thing and all its parts are living. When we destroy the earth we're only destroying ourselves.

(P.S. - My word verification was lanet....almost my name!)

I watched this on sue's blog and commented there. words fail me, i was tearful and distressed to see the trees fall, and to see the wild horses so distressed. they are so much wiser than us, they know the value that most humans no longer see. Like Sue, these thinhgs highlight why i am pagan too

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
