The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~sick bed blues~

i can almost hear bob dylan singing...

thank you all for you get well wishes

i became much worse yesterday and swampy called the doctors and had a long chat with him he was so worried...the doctor come round about 7pm and actully put on gloves, mask and gown before coming into the house and as it turns out i have swine flu and am now confined to bed and quarantined for a week.

good grief~the last thing i expected.

before i fell asleep last night i dosed myself up on paracetamol plus and so when i woke this morning i didnt feel too bad and in a hopeful way thought the worse was actually over. so i asked swampy to get my laptop~i can now feel it creeping back up on me and my temperature is going back up.

i cannot imagine spending a week confined like this~luckily my window is a large one and faces our garden, i have the windows wide open so i can see and hear the birds, see the sky and feel the breeze come though the room.

*~*the best thing is the jam jar of sweet peas and lupins swampy has put on my windowsill*~*

Just to wish you all the best for a speedy recovery. I wouldnt worry about the label "swine flu" if I got it myself - so....one week/two weeks...and thats it...the illness is past history. FAR more worrying is an illness that lingers for months/years - as you know yourself. So - 'twill only be a matter of days/a couple of weeks and then its gone - in the grand scheme of things..."whats a few days after all?"

best wishes

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
