The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~elements of self *eyes~

i am somewhat behind with the lovely juliana's 'elements of self' but here is my picture this week~and i even cringe with this incomplete image~but its okay as it only shows a little of me

this are my dads eyes~i have my dads coloring, pale, freckeld, red head.
my mum and all of her closest family are very dark people, although looking at my photo of my great granddad johney gaul, i don't think he is of very dark ancestry~even though its a very old picture he does not seem to have dark eyes.

according to my dad my welsh granddad had very dark hair~although i only remember him being pure white~but his eyes were blue grey, like mine, my sisters and my dads.

the older i get the weaker they get and i now find myself having to get new, stronger, glasses every year and although i have diabetes, as yet i have had a clean bill of health at my yearly diabetic eye screening.

i dont really have anyhting else to say, they are my eyes, nothing special.

Hey! you have exactly the same colour eyes that i do. Exept my eyes have yellow around the pupils. cool.
You know you've inspired me to start crochet (my mum wanted me to too) and i've bought a hook so hopefully i'll be able to learn a new hobby. Thanks for the post. I wonder how i'll get on.

Your eyes are rimmed with the darkest blue, flecked with greens and hues of woodlands, your radiant bright skin is smooth and flawless and your auburn hair frames your youthful face.............love froogsxxxxxx

Your eyes here appear more blue than grey and very piercing...like nothing can get past you.

"like nothing can get past you" -- very well put by Marisa. I see a deep celestial world in them, and a very private person. I do see the folds of grey too, very beautiful.

My eyes are weak too, and I have no choice in wearing glasses or contacts. I have always wished for stronger vision.

I love your eyes, too, such a deep blue, even darker at the outer edge. Beautiful.
Try to see you as we your blogfriends see you, just read over and over these comments. That's how you are seen from the outside, I know how to be stuck inside oneself and not be subjective...
My eyes are blue, too, and I like them, but such bad vision, impossible to leave bed without glasses and no contacts possible as they are so dry also. So my eyes, though quite big also appear tiny.

I see a guardedness in your eyes. Perhaps because they are so piercing. You have seen much. Beautiful eyes, you have :-)

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
