today is dark and gloomy, very autumnal rather than wintery as i expect it to be.
although according to the weather report a cold blast will hit us at the end of the week.
yesterday was a lovely day for a walk in the morning, misty with dew looking almost like a layer of frost and i just love the way the mist layers the tree's...
the white spots here are where a pony has been and shed some of its soft white fur...
as i sit it is getting darker and the birds have now stopped visiting the feeders which hang in the tree opposite my window.
i have been working with my druid plant oracle this week~just going through the book that came with the cards to refresh my memory a little.
they are lovely cards and i find myself feleing very connected to them~more than with other card decks i own.
i have also been reading
desperate romantics: private lives of the pre-raphaelites
which prompted a call to my artist dad this morning to discuss the pre-raphaelites.
now, as darkness falls its time to work on some crochet...

it sounds perfect! I love that you have those ponies nearby - are they wild?
It all sounds and looks so very perfect....
It has been very foggy here for the last few days, I understand what you mean by gloomy. Check out this blog, I think this will appeal to you - http://barnthespoon.blogspot.com/
Your day sounds as though it has been enjoyable and relaxing. I was in Suffolk over the weekend and it's been very foggy there, my son was saying this morning that he really likes to see the countryside when it is shrouded in mist and I do too. It takes on a magical, otherworldly feel.
Robyn, yes the ponies, and cows and donkeys that roam are wild. they are all owned by the commoners of the forest and are rounded up each year for branding etc but they are left free on the forest. also at this time of year people let their pigs free to eat the acorns.where they are allowed is controlled by fencing and cattle grids~our village is one of the few where the animals are allowed into the village if the fancy takes them~so we are very lucky
Lovely pics and sentiments beautifully expressed. Love the fact that the animals can roam wild...perfect!
