The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

Hopi Prophecy

~calm before another storm?~

today has been a fairly dry day here in the forest
i woke this morning to rain and thunder but by about 10 am it became clear and when i just popped out to put the ferrets a little treat of ferret paste in their cage i saw patches of dry ground!

dry ground!

i am now just sitting waiting to see the latest weather report as swampy has told me tomorrow and the day after is going to be bad again.
we are lucky as we live on a hill and so have no worries about our home flooding.

i have been having a bit of a tidy-up today, getting washing done and putting our new covers on the sofa~we were able to buy one for our big three seater and it is a gorgeous bright red and has really made our room look more cosy.

i have organised my coffee table too as my books were taking over...

i spent another blissful hour with my shamans oracle last night until sleep overtook me.

All things share the same breath~the beast, the tree, the man, the air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.
