The Flame Haired Solstice Dreamer

Cold winter brings the Everfrost and jewels every tree
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
A flame~haired dreamer wanders there and shelters from the wind
And spins her dreams around the trees to break the ties that bind
She takes her thread and spins anew and how the Greenwood smiles
As she spins a spell for freedom and for her spirit Wylde

The dreamer finds an ancient oak and shelters in his lee
In a forest new as birth and old as old can be
Tis summer now and birdsong weaves its magick through her spells
And humming bees drum drowsily in the foxglove's bells
The dreamer sits beneath the oak with yarn upon her knee
And spins and knits and weaves her dreams and sets her spirit free

~can a desk be happy?~

this is a happy desk~if such a thing can possibly exisit.
yesterday i had the results back for my first archaeology assignment and really was expecting a low result.
remember how i thought i was not working hard enough?
well i ended up getting 80%, which i found to be only 4 marks below a A~can you imagine my marks if i had really work hard at it?!
i now have two tubes of ricola sweets sitting on my desk, i love these...they help me to concentrate~honest...

so my desk is happy, the skies are blue here in the new forest and there is a distinct chill in the air that i am loving~the only downside is swampy has been ill all week with a constant headache so we had to go the the local 'cottage' hospital today for some blood tests and he has an appointment to get his eyes looked at tomorrow.
if we dont hear back from the hospital by 5.30 then that means the blood tests are clear...

my cd of the 'master and commander' soundtrack arrived today and i immediately put it onto my laptop~its one of the few things i can listen to while i study. many years ago when i did my sociology A' level (remember those?!) i spent my whole revision time with the soundtrack to 'the last emporer' on in the background~i passed that too with flying colors! maybe i should buy that on cd now too...
i am now all ready to start on my second assignment and i have chosen to focus on Teotihuacan as i have spent the past week looking at mesoamerica and its one of the subjects that i have had a long interest in, so it makes sence to me to study it further.
well now its time for me to check on swampy and try to get him to eat something...

Looks like a happy desk to me! :) hehhehe

Thanks for the TAG!! I've done mine too! :) I think its VERY cool that you worked with blind and deaf communication - I've always wanted to learn sign language. :)

Loving all the pictures! :)
